๐ŸŒฑ Getting Started

If you are under 35 and have been trying to conceive for 12 months without success, it is a good time to seek advice. If you are 35 or older, we recommend seeking advice after 6 months. If you have a known condition โ€” such as PCOS, endometriosis, irregular periods, or previous reproductive surgery โ€” do not wait. Come in as soon as you are ready to start trying or as soon as concerns arise. Early assessment gives you the most options.
Your first consultation is a thorough, unhurried conversation with our clinical team. We review your medical and reproductive history, discuss your goals and concerns, and begin to understand your unique situation. Where relevant, we will recommend initial investigations โ€” such as a semen analysis, hormonal blood tests, or a pelvic ultrasound. By the end of your first appointment, you will have a clear picture of the recommended next steps and which of our three pathways is most appropriate for you.
We strongly recommend that both partners attend where possible โ€” particularly for the initial assessment. Fertility is a shared journey, and approximately 40% of fertility challenges involve male factor issues. That said, if attending together is not possible for any reason, we can begin with one partner and arrange a subsequent appointment for the other. Virtual consultations make this easier for couples in different locations.
This depends on your individual situation and the pathway we recommend. Common initial investigations include: for the female partner โ€” hormonal blood tests (FSH, LH, AMH, oestradiol, prolactin, thyroid), pelvic ultrasound (antral follicle count), and a detailed cycle history. For the male partner โ€” a semen analysis covering count, motility, morphology, and volume. Additional tests are ordered based on your results and history. We will never order unnecessary tests โ€” only what is clinically indicated for your situation.
Absolutely โ€” that is exactly what the first consultation is for. You do not need to know which pathway is right before you come. Our "Find My Pathway" quiz on our homepage gives you a starting point, but the real conversation happens in your first appointment. Come with your questions, your history, and an open mind. We will guide you from there.
Yes. All consultation types are available virtually via Zoom or Google Meet โ€” including initial assessments, programme check-ins, follow-up appointments, and international client consultations. Virtual consultations are available for clients anywhere in Nigeria and worldwide. Some investigations (blood tests, ultrasound scans) will need to be conducted at a laboratory near you, the results of which we review remotely.

๐ŸŒฟ Natural Fertility Programme

It is a medically supervised, personalised fertility programme that runs over 12 weeks. It begins with a comprehensive assessment of both partners, followed by our Cleanse-Up reproductive detox protocol (weeks 1โ€“3), FertilityCode supplementation (weeks 2โ€“12), a personalised diet and lifestyle plan, and three monthly clinical review consultations. The programme is designed to optimise both partners' reproductive health โ€” improving sperm quality, egg health, hormonal balance, and the uterine environment โ€” within the 90-day window that sperm and eggs take to mature.
The programme is most suitable for couples who have been trying to conceive for 6 months to 2 years with no identified structural blockage; women with mild PCOS, irregular cycles, or hormonal imbalances; men with mildly suboptimal sperm parameters; couples who prefer to start with a natural approach before considering medical intervention; and couples preparing for IVF who want to optimise their egg and sperm quality beforehand.
The difference is the system around the supplements. When you enrol in our programme, your supplementation is prescribed based on your specific assessment results โ€” not a generic dose. You receive a personalised diet and lifestyle protocol. You have three clinical reviews where we adjust the plan based on how your body is responding. And you have access to our clinical team throughout. Unsupervised supplementation without this framework consistently produces inferior results.
Yes โ€” entirely. All consultations are available virtually. Products are shipped nationwide within Nigeria and internationally. Your dietary and lifestyle plan is delivered digitally. Many of our international and diaspora clients complete the entire natural programme from abroad.
If after a full 90-day programme, pregnancy has not been achieved, we reassess thoroughly. For many couples, a second cycle of the programme produces success โ€” particularly when the first cycle was building the foundation. For others, we transition to our Medical/ART pathway. Importantly, nothing is wasted: the improvements made during the natural programme measurably improve IVF and IUI outcomes for couples who proceed to medical treatment.
Yes. Every component of our natural fertility programme is grounded in peer-reviewed clinical evidence. The supplements used โ€” zinc, selenium, CoQ10, L-carnitine, myo-inositol, methylfolate, Vitex, and others โ€” all have published evidence for their effects on sperm quality, egg quality, hormonal balance, or ovulatory function. We do not use ingredients without a clinical rationale. Our Medical Director is both a trained physician and a certified fertility wellness therapist โ€” which means our natural programme is held to the same standard of evidence as our medical services.

๐Ÿ”ฌ IVF & IUI

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is a simpler procedure where prepared sperm are placed directly into the uterus at the time of ovulation. It is minimally invasive, does not require egg retrieval, and is significantly less expensive than IVF. It is suitable for mild male factor infertility, unexplained infertility, and some cervical factors. IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) involves stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs, retrieving those eggs under sedation, fertilising them in our embryology laboratory, and transferring the resulting embryo(s) into the uterus. IVF has higher success rates per cycle but is more involved, more expensive, and requires more monitoring.
We recommend IUI as a first-line medical intervention for couples with mild to moderate male factor infertility, unexplained infertility with patent fallopian tubes, or cervical factor infertility. We typically recommend three IUI cycles before reassessing. IVF is recommended where there is significant male factor infertility, blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, advanced maternal age with time sensitivity, previous IUI failure, or a specific diagnosis that makes IVF the most appropriate option. Our clinical team will recommend what is right for your specific picture โ€” not what is most profitable.
Yes. Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) โ€” where a single sperm is injected directly into an egg โ€” is available as part of our IVF programme. ICSI is indicated for severe male factor infertility, very poor sperm morphology, or previous failed fertilisation in a standard IVF cycle. Where ICSI is recommended, this will be discussed with you before your treatment begins.
We present success rates honestly and carefully โ€” because they are highly dependent on the age of the female partner, the diagnosis, the number of embryos transferred, and many other factors. Broadly, IVF success rates for women under 35 using their own eggs range from 40โ€“60% per cycle in well-selected patients globally. Success rates decline with age. We will give you a personalised expectation based on your specific profile at your consultation โ€” we do not believe in quoting generic statistics that may not reflect your situation.
Our 3-month IVF Preparation Programme is designed for couples planning an IVF cycle within 3โ€“6 months. It optimises egg quality, sperm parameters, hormonal balance, and uterine receptivity before stimulation begins โ€” measurably improving IVF outcomes. Both partners are included. At the end of the programme, we provide a written IVF Readiness Report that you can share with your IVF clinic. Full details are on our IVF Preparation Programme page.
Yes. In fact, couples who have experienced failed IVF cycles elsewhere are among those who benefit most from our integrative approach. We begin by reviewing your previous cycle in detail โ€” stimulation protocol, fertilisation rates, embryo quality, and transfer outcome. We then design a preparation protocol that addresses the specific factors that may have contributed to your previous failure. Our IVF Preparation Programme is particularly valuable for repeat IVF patients.

๐Ÿค Surrogacy

Surrogacy is an appropriate pathway for women who do not have a uterus (congenital absence or surgical removal); women for whom pregnancy would pose a significant medical risk; women who have experienced recurrent implantation failure or repeated IVF failure related to uterine factors; and in some cases, same-sex male couples or single individuals who wish to have a biological child. We assess suitability carefully and compassionately at your initial surrogacy consultation.
Surrogacy is practised in Nigeria and is not explicitly prohibited by Nigerian law. However, there is currently no dedicated surrogacy legislation in Nigeria, which means that the legal framework relies on contract law and established clinical and ethical practice. This makes properly drafted legal agreements essential. At PROLIFE, we work alongside qualified Nigerian legal professionals to ensure all surrogacy arrangements are appropriately documented. We strongly recommend that all parties โ€” intended parents and surrogates โ€” obtain independent legal advice before any agreement is signed.
Surrogate identification and screening is conducted by our team through a carefully managed process. Every potential surrogate undergoes comprehensive medical screening (including reproductive history, general health assessment, and relevant infectious disease testing), psychological assessment, and a detailed personal interview. We do not match surrogates and intended parents until we are satisfied that the surrogate is medically and psychologically suitable. Matching is done thoughtfully โ€” we consider medical compatibility, personal circumstances, and your expressed preferences.
We offer gestational surrogacy โ€” where the embryo is created from the genetic material of the intended parents (or donors where medically indicated) and transferred to the surrogate. The surrogate has no genetic connection to the child. This is the medically and legally preferred form of surrogacy and is what we coordinate at PROLIFE.
From initial consultation to birth, the surrogacy journey typically takes 12โ€“18 months. This includes the initial assessment and legal preparation period (1โ€“3 months), surrogate matching and medical preparation (2โ€“4 months), embryo transfer and the confirmation of pregnancy (1โ€“2 months), and the pregnancy itself (9 months). We work to minimise delays at every stage, but some aspects โ€” particularly surrogate matching โ€” depend on factors that vary between cases.
Yes โ€” and this is one of the most common use cases for our surrogacy programme. Nigerian families living in the UK, USA, Canada, and elsewhere regularly access our surrogacy programme because of the legal, financial, and logistical challenges of surrogacy in their countries of residence. Most of the process can be coordinated virtually. In-person visits to Abuja are required at specific stages โ€” particularly for the embryo transfer procedure and the delivery. We provide full coordination support for international clients, including a medical letter to support visa applications where required.

๐Ÿ’Š Products & Supplements

FertilityCode for Men is formulated specifically to support the four key parameters of male fertility: sperm count, progressive motility, morphology, and DNA integrity. Its key ingredients include zinc, selenium, L-carnitine, CoQ10 ubiquinol, and methylfolate. FertilityCode for Women is formulated to support female reproductive health โ€” specifically ovulatory function, egg quality, hormonal balance, and uterine health. Its key ingredients include myo-inositol, Vitex agnus-castus, methylfolate, CoQ10 ubiquinol, NAC, and Vitamin D3. Both products are NAFDAC-compliant and manufactured by FON Organic Health Limited.
Cleanse-Up is our reproductive detox protocol โ€” the essential first phase of the 90-Day Natural Fertility Programme. It is a 21-day protocol designed to support liver detoxification pathways, restore gut microbiome balance, and reduce the systemic inflammatory burden that impairs egg quality, sperm development, and hormonal signalling. It is used by both partners simultaneously in weeks 1โ€“3 of the programme, before FertilityCode supplementation begins. Think of it as preparing the ground before planting.
All PROLIFE products are NAFDAC-compliant natural health supplements formulated from food-derived nutrients and clinically validated botanical compounds. Side effects are uncommon. The most frequently reported minor effect is mild gastrointestinal discomfort if the products are taken on an empty stomach โ€” always take with food. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking prescription medications, or managing a diagnosed medical condition, please consult your physician before beginning any supplement, including ours.
For optimal results, we recommend a minimum of 90 days โ€” aligned with the sperm and egg maturation cycles. This is non-negotiable for the programme to produce meaningful change. Consistency is the mechanism: supplements taken sporadically will not produce the same results as a full, uninterrupted 90-day protocol. Many clients continue supplementation beyond 90 days, particularly while actively trying to conceive.
Yes. FertilityCode for Men, FertilityCode for Women, and Cleanse-Up are available to purchase directly from our online shop without booking a consultation. However, we consistently see better results when products are used within the supervised programme โ€” because dosage is personalised, the dietary protocol is tailored to your assessment, and the clinical reviews allow us to adjust based on your response. If you purchase products independently, please read the usage instructions carefully and consider booking at least a single consultation for personalised guidance.
Yes. We ship FertilityCode and Cleanse-Up internationally for clients in the UK, USA, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. International shipping costs and delivery timelines vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Customs duties and import taxes where applicable are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please allow 7โ€“21 days for international delivery depending on your location.

๐ŸŒ International & Diaspora Clients

The first step is a virtual consultation โ€” bookable directly from our website or by WhatsApp message. Our team will review your fertility history, explain your options across all three pathways, and design a preliminary plan. All of this happens before you book a single flight. We have been supporting diaspora clients from the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, and many other countries.
This depends on your chosen pathway. For IVF: you will typically need to be in Abuja for 10โ€“14 days, timed around your egg retrieval and embryo transfer. All pre-cycle preparation (including medication) can be managed from abroad. For surrogacy: two or three visits over the 12โ€“18 month programme, at key medical milestones. For the natural fertility programme: no travel required โ€” the entire programme can be managed remotely. We design every international care plan to minimise time in Nigeria while maximising the quality and safety of your treatment.
Yes. We provide a formal medical invitation letter on PROLIFE Fertility Centre letterhead for international clients who require it for their visa application. This letter confirms the nature of your medical treatment, the treating facility, and your expected dates of attendance in Abuja. Please request this letter at least 4 weeks before your planned travel date to allow for processing.
Abuja โ€” Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory โ€” is widely regarded as the safest major city in Nigeria. The Utako district where PROLIFE is located is a modern, well-maintained residential and commercial area with good infrastructure and security. Many Nigerians in the diaspora visit Abuja regularly for family, business, and increasingly for medical care. We can advise on recommended accommodation and logistics support to make your visit as comfortable and efficient as possible.
Yes. We accept payment in Nigerian Naira, British pounds, US dollars, and euros via international bank transfer. For diaspora clients, we provide a full cost estimate in your currency of choice before you commit to anything. There are no hidden fees โ€” every cost is disclosed in writing upfront.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Pricing & Payment

Consultation fees vary by type. A 15-minute Discovery Call (for those who are unsure where to start) is complimentary. Full initial consultations (45โ€“60 minutes) and specialist programme enrolment consultations are charged at our standard rates, which are confirmed at the time of booking. Programme check-in consultations for enrolled clients are included within their programme fees. Please visit our Pricing page or contact us directly for current consultation fees.
Our programmes are offered in tiers (Essential, Standard, and Premium) to accommodate different budgets and levels of support required. Prices vary by programme. Please visit our Pricing & Investment page for full tier breakdowns, or contact us for a personalised quote based on your specific situation. We are committed to transparency โ€” you will always know exactly what you are paying for before you commit.
We understand that fertility treatment represents a significant financial commitment. We offer structured payment plans for our programme packages, allowing the cost to be spread over the duration of the programme. Payment plan options are discussed at your initial consultation. Product purchases must be paid in full at the time of order.
We accept payment via Paystack (credit/debit card and bank transfer โ€” for Nigerian clients), direct bank transfer (for all clients), and international wire transfer (for diaspora and international clients in foreign currency). We do not accept cash payments for consultations or programmes. Product purchases can be made via our secure online shop.
Currently, most Nigerian health insurance schemes do not cover fertility treatments such as IVF, IUI, or surrogacy. Some plans may partially cover diagnostic investigations. We recommend checking your specific policy with your insurer. Our natural fertility programmes and products are not typically covered by health insurance. We can provide detailed receipts and clinical documentation to support any insurance claim you wish to make.
We do not offer outcome-based pricing or refunds for unsuccessful fertility treatment โ€” no ethical fertility provider does, as outcomes depend on biological factors beyond clinical control. However, we are fully transparent about success rates and expectations before you begin, so that you can make an informed decision about investing in treatment. Consultation fees are non-refundable. Products may be returned unopened within 14 days of delivery per our returns policy.
